It’s 3.2 miles of beach — so it would be a 6+ mile hike if you do the whole thing out and back. You’ll take in the endangered native coastal sage scrub plant wilderness, which is how the area looked before it was developed, and then hike to heights where you’ll be able to see from the san gabriel mountains to catalina. All three of these sites require the backpacker to hike everything in at least three miles each way.
